Citizens United Political Victory Fund (CUPVF), the affiliated PAC of Citizens United, issued the following statement endorsing Stephen Labate in New York’s 2nd Congressional District. CUPVF has also contributed $5,000 to Labate’s primary election.

“Army Reserve Lieutenant Colonel Stephen Labate is an American patriot who contrasts greatly with Washington insider Steve Israel,” said David N. Bossie, President of Citizens United. “As head of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee the only jobs that Steve Israel is concerned about are those of his fellow liberals in Washington. Steve Israel wants to be a power player in Washington when, in fact, he has forgotten the people of New York’s 2nd Congressional District.

“Stephen Labate has made it his mission to promote pro-growth economic policies that will create jobs and cut through the red tape that has had a negative impact on Long Island’s many small businesses when he comes to Congress next year. Without these small businesses, robust job growth will not return. Lt. Col. Labate will battle with those who want more government regulation that stunts job creation.”

Stephen Labate joins 17 other veterans and active military personnel being supported by CUPVF during the 2011-2012 election cycle. CUPVF takes great pride in its support of our men and women in uniform.

Citizens United Political Victory Fund (CUPVF) is registered with the Federal Election Commission as a separate, segregated fund of Citizens United. Its mission is to support conservative candidates running for federal office who share Citizens United’s vision of reducing the size and scope of government, lowering taxes, cutting spending, promoting traditional family values, and winning the war on terror.
