To all my friends, supporters, donors, volunteers, and staff-
There is no way I can thank you enough for being the very foundation of my campaign. You were there for me in so many concrete ways, including doing the hard work of making thousands of phone calls, sending out mailings, contributing, walking door to door and getting out the word about what we stand for.
But you were the foundation in an even more important way: We share an ideal about what we need in this country and are entitled to have – a thriving, growing economy that provides jobs, opportunities and an increasing sense of optimism for the future generations of families here in Suffolk County. In other words, we believe the old adage that a rising tide lifts all boats.
Needless to say, I am deeply disappointed by the outcome of our endeavors. However, in the course of the campaign, I had the good fortune to get to know so many wonderful people in our communities. You have demonstrated great strength and resilience again and again, and you will prevail. It was an honor and a privilege to meet each and every one of you, and I wish you all the best going forward.
With enormous gratitude and heartfelt thanks-
