I also invested funds in job training and retraining centers with our local towns. In partnership with the County’s Industrial Development Agency, I offered incentives that helped create and retain over 3,500 private sector jobs.

Today’s jobs numbers proves that Carolyn McCarthy and Barack Obama have absolutely no idea how to fix this terrible economy. Unemployment has been above 8% for 43 straight months. More than 368,000 people left the workforce last month – the largest number of attrition since December 2010. There’s no question that we can and must do better.
