“The Independence Party has long supported innovative efforts to improve Nassau County’s economy. At a time when residents desperately need employment opportunities and economic development initiatives that generate tax relief, it is important that we do all we can to support those efforts. For this reason, the Nassau County Independence Party has endorsed County Executive Ed Mangano’s efforts to create a state-of-the-art sport-entertainment destination center at the site of Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum. With economists projecting 4,500 new private sector jobs and $1.46 return for every one dollar taxpayers invest, the plan provides successful solutions for our local economy at a time when residents need them the most.

As such, the Nassau County Independence Party urges a yes-vote on August 1st.”
