Introductory Resolution 1150-14, sponsored by Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone, would double the fine if a parking ticket is 30 days late. The fine would triple after 60 days, and other traffic infractions, including red light cameras violations, would see a $50 late fee.

Suffolk County Legislator Kate Browning (WF-Shirley) is urging Suffolk County families to join other Long Island families in opening their homes and hearts to a New York City child from a disadvantaged community. The Fresh Air Fund has been helping children each year since 1877, by allowing thousands of Fresh Air Fund children visit volunteer host families in 13 states and Canada through the Friendly Town Program.
