Mangano today announced that for the fourth consecutive year, the Nassau County Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) administered by the Nassau County Department of Social Services (DSS) and funded by New York State Department of Education began Monday July 7, 2014 and will end August 22, 2014.

A bill recently passed by the Suffolk County Legislature requires the Clerk of the Legislature to establish a list of parties interested in receiving email notifications for public hearings and to send those notifications in advance of all public hearings. Patricia Maher, who is running for Congress against Peter King in the 2nd District, criticized his vote against the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act of 2009. The Act set the statute of limitations for filing an equal-pay for equal-work lawsuit beginning on the date of each new paycheck in violation of the law.
